My Story

Every event tells a story – here’s mine.

My journey didn’t start with events. I began in the finance and mining industries, where I learned the art of budgets, deadlines and high-pressure decision-making. But after waking up one day and realising my corporate role wasn’t bringing me joy, I took a leap of faith and started a small business in regional Western Australia.

That’s how Wrapped Creations was born in 2011, from a home office in Karratha. What started as a small idea grew into a company with multiple offices, a core team of 15+ and a network of suppliers delivering high-profile events across Australia.

In my role as CEO of Wrapped Creations, I’ve orchestrated an extraordinary spectrum of high-profile productions, from intimate VIP experiences through to prestigious award ceremonies and corporate launches, large-scale televised events and multi-day international conferences and expos. Having successfully delivered over 1,000 premium events, I’ve developed unparalleled expertise in budget constraints, unique locations and logistical challenges.

My approach is grounded in practicality – every detail matters, from safety regulations to marquee cross-braces. Budgets are budgets, deadlines are non-negotiable and the impact we create is what truly counts.

Today, I use this experience to mentor, facilitate and speak for organisations across Australia. I don’t shy away from the pain points: I address them head-on to find solutions and opportunities. Whether it’s developing systems, refining strategies or delivering bold ideas, I aim to make every event unforgettable.

Working with me isn’t just about ticking boxes, it’s about unlocking what’s possible. Clients often tell me they walk away feeling inspired, supported, and more capable than ever. As Hayley Rappa from Fortescue puts it, “Dave goes above and beyond… detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and hands-on while letting his team members shine.” I bring passion and strategy in equal measure, whether I’m delivering a keynote, leading a team, or designing a major event. “David’s insights and storytelling resonated deeply, sparking meaningful conversations well beyond the event,” says Tina Scott of PHCCI. And for those working on grassroots initiatives, like Karlayura Rodeo Inc., the impact is just as lasting: “With his support, we’re well positioned to create an annual event that reflects our vision and contributes to our region’s growth.” My goal is to leave you not just with a successful event, but with a stronger team and a renewed belief in what you can achieve.

If my story resonates with you, and you think I could help your team or event, let’s connect!

Every detail matters.
